Sarah Soards

Sarah Currin-Moles

A Portland native, Sarah Soards has been a huge fan of the written word since she was a child. One of her first memories is of crying uncontrollably as her father read her The Red Pony. A recent graduate of the master's book publishing program at Portland State University, Sarah believes that author care is vital to the success of any book. Her work with the gastronimical community keeps her rooted in the Portland arts and culture scene. She is ridiculously excited to be working with books on a daily basis, and she is constantly on the lookout for stories that thrill and delight her.

Born and raised in Oregon, Sarah Currin-Moles received a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in book publishing from Portland State University. In 2014, she received the Dennis Stovall First Edition Award for best exemplifying the mission of the publishing program. She entered the publishing field because she believes wholeheartedly in the power of stories and is dedicated to supporting the creation and distribution of quality writing. Sarah currently works at Timber Press during the day and edits as a freelancer at night; in her fleeting moments of spare time, she enjoys playing music and reading comics.
